Ive always been a Fuchs man myself. You see a lot of phones but not too many Fuchs. The Fuchs are a great rim that are still worth a handsome sum, espec. the 1986 ones on the Turbo in the early offset. I like dark Fuchs on a light car. I like the contrast so I wouldnt be scared away. I'd love some chromed ones for my graphite metallic. I love body colored Fuchs too like that guys Red 944 on here.
I say go Fuchs yourself. If you dont like em, theres usually 10 people waiting to buy them off you.

You've actually got two issues here. First, as Tifo said, the offsets are different. The Fuchs are early offset while the Phone Dials on the 87 924S are late offset. The second issue is the wheel width. The 924S Phone Dials are narrower (is that a word - more narrow?). Anyway, the lack of "fender flares" on the 924S required a narrow wheel width - so you would be limited in the size tire you could run. That is, if you added spacers to the 944 to get the phones to work in the first place. Basically, your hosed. Swapping isn't feasible in this case.

I am not 100% certain on the offset issue.
I know that the 924S came with the exact suspension from the early 944's (No ABS & Steel arms). Not sure about the rear though.
I am thinking that the offset is the same since there is no ABS. I understand that 86 Turbo has the early offset since it does not have ABS. I believe the reason the offset changed was due to ABS... Any irrespective of the offset issue is the width issue.
924S a came with 15x6 (6" wide wheels) vs the 944's 15x7 (7" wide wheels). You may run in to tire rubbing problems with 7" wide wheels. You should be able to address this with a lower profile (smaller diameter tire) 225/50. Note stock on the 924S was 195/65 and 215/60 on 944's
I am not sure that you will like the look however.

Kenny,
I just got my car a month ago. The first thing I said to myself when I got the Porsche was THAT PINSTRIPE HAS TO GO but with time it's grown on me. I don't know why. I know there's nothing sporty about it and I was really planning on taking it off but then it just grew on me and I've seen other Porsches with the same stripe so I began thinking maybe it came like that from the factory. Here's a pic I saw of it online:

I am sure on the offset as I have both cars, an 87 924S and a 86 951. The 924S is a late offset car. All Fuchs (to my knowledge) are early offset. Width issues are as I mentioned and as you have also indicated.
