engine misses...then ok after waterpump...
hmm.
seems to idle fine...took for a run, she stutters, then runs good, etc.
question:
at the back of the upper cam cover, there's a plug with a wire that runs towards to centre of the front of the engine to a larger group that goes under the intake. that plug is cracked...could this be my source of the stutter? what is the plug for? it has a metal mounting plate with a clamp that keeps it there/together. at the spot where this wires goes under the intake the other group of wires runs over and plugs into the AFM / barn door.
thoughts?

hmm...I think I just figured it out. just went out, started the car in the dark...plug #1 wire was arc-ing like crazy on the cam cover. pulled her off, snugged it up...gone.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that is the problem.
I'll go for a run in the AM.
