I am going to be having the front end of my 951 resprayed in the next couple of months and Stoddard Porsche seems to be one of the few places I have talked to that is willing/wanting to do the work to my specifications. Does anyone have any first hand experience with them?

I do not have experience having work done by Stoddard but I do from buying parts from them & what I can tell you is that they are fantastic peoples to deal with & they have years of experience working on P cars either maintenance /restoration or enhancement those people made a name for themself in Porsche circle for many years & I will think they cannot afford to loose it,first deal with them in the 80's when I own a 914 & then my 944.

I bought my 968 at stoddard. The experiance could not have been better. And my salesman Brad was great guy. The car was maintained there from delivery thru 99k miles, when I bought it. The work that was done to the car was done right by the techs that worked there.
When I went thru yhe records taht ame with car, there was a work order for some paint touch up. The work was done very good and a perfect color match (polar silver not the easiest to match). IIRC, I think the paint work was outsourced.

I had a door and quarter panel repainted, along with some interior damage and a broken window repaired by them after some punk(s) vandalized my car. The results were fantastic. Every bit as good as the factory finish. They have a swap meet every year in June. You can go into the body shop and see what projects they are working on. A lot of people trust them to do major restoration work on their 356's. I believe they still give a 10%? PCA member discount.

good paint isn't that hard to come by. When it's a partial paint job it gets a little harder, especially over factory paint. Matching the original orange-peel and thickness is hard. Basically, doing a factory poor paint job is difficult. Spring for an all-over spray if you would like it match in quality, texture, and color.
When you say front end, is that just a bumper cover, or sheet metal?
