Default Engine Finally of thr Project Car

I know, I know the blue cam over is going to be cleaned. Was just trying to get the engine running. Below is a before and after I got her running.

The good thing for the cam cover is that now that I am taking it apart to replace the blown head gasket. Yes, got it running and in just a few minutes white smoke.

Hey I worked on this car one time!! There is no mistaking that blue! It was in Orlando FL at a repair shop called Zotz Garage where I work and I believe we did the cam tower gasket? At the time everything on top of the motor was already disassembled to a degree. Not sure what was going on there exactly.
What's the story... did you buy it from someone down here or did you used to live down here or something?

Yep, bought from down in Orlando and had it shipped up here. Man, there was alot disconnected, missing and new parts not even hooked up. But for what I paided, no big deal. Surprised at how many new parts are on the car but just not hooked up or have installed.

Had the Intake and Fuel blasted and powder coated. Both Rad and Wiper container have been replaced. Now that she is being taken down again, the Cam cover is next to be blasted and coated.

Cass944, when you say under the fuel rail? I cannot see the picture that well. I just through them on to start her up. I have the new plastic cover but I do like the clean look of no wires showing up top.

Drift, nice job on the Cam cover gasket.. bitch to get off sealed well. Thanks for the inform, going to contact the shop and see if there are any records. Good project for me.. at least that is what the wife keeps telling me. I think she feels it keep me from thinking about what to do to my 88 next.
