I 've ridden in the silver car in the second picture. It's a really quick car but nothing compared to the orange one. The orange one's got a 3.5L mechanical fuel injection motor. The silver one's just a stock 2.4E with 7's all around.

I wish I could have made it but I was working on my car (sorry not a water pumper guy)

Well, it may be "just a stock 2.4E" but I make it go as fast as I can, Tim. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> Plus, the twisty roads help even things out and that 3.5 loses some of it's warp factor strength.

Ian, thanks for the great shots!! And I like the dark wheels, good job!

The orange, yellow ,and silver 911's were three of my favorite cars of the show, and really have me thinking about picking up a 911 to work on and turning it into an Carrera RS replica

ian, i was there too! GREAT PICS by the way! i had the burgandy red 912 that showed up a little late (the electronic ignition in my 050 decided to die. thank god i had the 009 to limp from asheville to charlotte where i could find the correct gap and put the points in the 050).

we had the 912 registry south east meet in asheville the day before (love those mountian twisties), and i got alot of pics from the meet and the charlotte auto fair.

check out my pics page from the event, i have an odd pic from the auto fair there. some guy in a hat looks like hes running towards our 912, (which is in the same row as the gt2, 993 tt, 996 tt and boxster s.) clearly this man has lost his goard!! it is the second pic on the page.

Well, that explains the extra 912 drivers at the show. We don't see too many around here, thanks for adding it to your weekend.

"Then there was the GT2, can you say sexy as hell, and we all wondered the same thing, will those brakes fit on my car?"

Then there are those of us who are wondering "Will those brakes fit my budget?" 8)

Jim, "Nope!"

Anyone know the exact year and type wheels on the 930 shown in the first picture? The black one taken from the rear with the chrome wheels?

GREAT SHOW!

All the way from ohio harry? Well if you can come down all this way for some porsche events, then I think I should motivate myself to head north for the 944 fest....

well there are next to no 912 events up here, so i had to look elseware (and a trip to the west coast is some what outta the question right now, school work etc). i envy the roads you have down there! most of the stuff we go to is outta state anyways. tweeks fun fest, and hershey to name a few. the only ones in ohio we go to are the stoddards swap meet and the mid ohio vintage races. a guy in dayton is having his show too which we're thinkin about.

come one up man (just be warned cops are everywhere in ohio!)
