Note: don't go crazy with the pressure tester. You don't want to over-pressurize the system, RTFM, etc... One other question; what does the coolant look like? Does it look 'fresh' or dull/brown? If it appears it hasn't been changed in a long time that may indicate a partially clogged radiator. The only good way to tell is to pull it out and have a rad shop flow it. If you do that, it's a good time to pull out the thermostat and either test it or just replace it.

Also, do the usual headgasket check before you drive it any more -- coolant in oil and/or oil in coolant. Very bad things possible otherwise.
Anyone who describes changing a t-stat on these cars as "minor" has obviously never done it. Even with the WP out of the car it can be a PITA. Trying to do it while it's still in the car has driven temperate men to strong language and drink.
