How hard is it to put the new boot on that fits over the stock gear shift ****? I just put my shifter back to stock configuration and it needs a new boot. Is it possible to install yourself or do you have to buy one with the **** installed in the boot already?

BTDT...it was somewhat of a pain...you have to work the new boot on to the old **** and it can be tight! Just be careful not to rip the new cover!

getting the cap over the new leather is tough but take your time and don'd rush it or it will look like cud. It's a great improvement though, so it's worth the effort.

Done mine a long time ago (butter in the pan) but like mention take your time doing it.
