Porsche Technician....how well trained are they?
I am curious just to how "well" trained a Porshe technician is. What kind of certification, instruction, school do they have to complete, and are they taught much more than an average mechanic?

well every manufacturer has their own training classes. where does an "average" mechanic work? porsche tech's are pretty well trained, the problem is that most of the older guys are gone, the ones who really know the 924/44/68's and 928's. each of our local dealers have like one guy that knows them. at one dealer, none of the techs even own porsches.
