I'm curious to actually see how you guys see me now considering i have told you something that occurred way before any of you even seen this screen name post on rennlist. And if this somehow changes your outlook on me, I don't understand as to why you have to use the past to make judgements on someone in the present? I was told something where people live 3 time events of life, the past, present or future. This is now, live by the present and not implicate someone and hold a huge front of disrespect over there head just on a board when you do not know them personally in real life.

Sorry for my rants, and smart *** comments. We are all on the same board here, whether its Amaf or an ex-speed freak, or those in need of help. Talk nice, don't criticize and harm. My soapbox speech is over..

Humm, so this is a touchy subject that we have found ourselves on...

I think in moments like this there is only one thing to do.....

talk about what great cars are 944's are...

And then all share a beer.... (ok well we couldn't all share a beer because I would like a whole one to myself, I say as I go down stairs to get a bass ale)

Supercharged, eh? 240hp? 5.7 second 0-60? Inexperienced 15 year old driver?

My wife and I berate that show for adding sound effects and putting a crazy propoganda spin on events that you are seeing right there on the tube, but this beats all. She's gonna love this...

One of my pet peeves (I have entire collection, btw), is rubber neckers. Here in FL we have enough slow idiot drivers for the whole country, and they impact me in direct ways.

Here in FL whenever there is an accident, people rubberneck. It doesn't matter if the wreck is on the other side of a divided highway, traffic just comes to a crawl.

I personally think the cops need to ticket damn rubber neckers....why concentrate on taking the money from just the speeders, lets increase the revenue by hitting the slow, and weak. (That's how it works in nature, why not traffic).

Personally, I moved from Mass to Florida due mainly to oppressive police state, and what should be illegal insurance method. The state is so over run with "revenue generators" aka Police officers that it is impossible to drive without being menaced.

And if anyone ever tells me there is no such thing as a quota then they are a true moron. The city budgets are available for perusal, simply look at the money the city needs, the amount of police available, divide by 12 and you have your cops monthly quota. And BS if they think its safety related. Look at some traffic speed limits (esp in Mass), they are artificially low, not for safety, but purely for revenue.

I will NEVER live in a hellish place like mass again. Beware all who want to drive there...

rant complete.......for now.

I just love these car chases with fat cops and enthusiastic commentator talking about the chase like it was a sports event.

Worlds scariest police chases is really amussing to watch. It really is a propaganda machine for the police. It is pretty blatant when you think about it.

Look at the kid in the M3 slicing and dicing his way through traffic ignore the police officer behind him doing the same thing.

Has anyone ever thought about how fast a police man has to go to catch someone who is speeding?

Kind of Hypocritical you have to speed to catch a speeder.

One thing no one seems to notice - or at least comment on, is the fact that that a $25,00 American POS kept up quite well with that $50,00 M3. Yes it was a 15 y.o. verses an experienced driver and I'm not saying the cars are equal, but I for one was impressed with the relative nimbleness of the big american car at those speeds compared to what I thought would be the case.

Would I have one? No. I've had a LT1 firebird and there is absolutely no steering feel/feedback in those cars - its like driving a video game. I just was impressed that when it comes down to it there is something to be said for the brute force, zero finesse "american way". Flame on!

What I thought was funny was that the '15 year old' completely psyched out the cop with his shoulder move causing the cop in the camaro to drive off the road. There's no sound of the cars hitting(although that could be edited) and there's no shock to the car from a hit. So basically, the 'highly trained' officer was scared off the road.

As to how well the camaro performed, I've swerved going just as fast(maybe 100?) and not flown off the road. Also, i highly doubt that the camaro is stock. The police are usually given some liberties in making the car faster. But yes, it did perform pretty well. I had my friends '02 Mustang going pretty fast a couple times and it does handle pretty well. However the feel of the handling is completely different. It's alot more 'floaty' than my 944.

All in all, some good entertainment.

I also saw the cop loose it just after make a slight swerve. I didn't see the kid loose control. Also the majority of the chase was on the highway. Get those two cars on some small windy roads and see what happens. I saw the cop car swayin' all around on the freeway too.

But......For an extra $25K I was impressed...

That M3 was like late 80's...I'd like to see the cops LT1 try and keep up with a new M3 at those speeds, like 340 hp, you know the LT1 Camaro weighs more...

Not saying I'm a fan of evading the police or anything I'm just talking about the car comparison.
