Default Lateral Run Off

I am looking at buying another set of wheels for my car but the seller said they have excessive lateral run off. Anybody have an idea of what this will cost me to fix at a wheel shop? I can get the set of cup 2 replicas for 150 bucks... 17x7.5, 17x9. Thanks

The term is "lateral run out" - it's a fancy way of saying they're bent. They don't spin "true".

I'd say you're better off passing on this set.

I have had two wheels with bad run out fixed, but you can expect it to cost about $120 per wheel, assuming they don't need to be repainted, afterward. Very few "wheel repair" places can actually do it. For the record, here is a link to the only US company I've found which does it: http://www.acu-tru.com/
