I have updated the attached vacuum diagram but I can't find any info in the workshop manuals which confirms the vacuum connections for the vacuum reservoir (for the heater system) and the blue & black brake check valve. I guess they both just connect into the regular vacuum supply. If someone knows otherwise please let me know and I will update the diagram (and my knowledge)
The vacuum connections to the heater system at the firewall (as shown in the diagram) are also just based on the labels in the manual - so if there is an error in how I have drawn that please say so.
Cheers
Wayne

Joe,
Thanks for the email & pics you confirmed my belief that those two items are just plumbed into the regular vac supply. Since my 944 was never plumbed correctly since I bought it had it I just wanted
Tom, your diagram looks like it connects the check valve and reservoir together but does not seem to connect the check valve and vac reservoir to the vac supply.
Here is the pic as Joe confirmed it.

The check valve gets it's supply off the hose that goes to the brake booster. I thought the solid black line below the check valve was this brake booster hose. The way you have it now isn't correct. The HVAC vac supply does not come directly from the intake manifold. Your drawing really is good, better than the factory manual.

Tom,
what you say makes sense I guess because if the vac reservoir gets its vac supply via the check valve then the vac is preserved for the HVAC system regardless of manifold vacuum/boost. The solid black line under the check valve is the brake booster hose BTW.
Thanks for your input.
