I love those pics. My favorite Porsche Car pics are close-ups like the 1st pic of the headlight.

How many megapixals is your camera?

this was partially to take pictures and partially for practice. i've decided to start using full manual controls(focus, shutter, aperture) and i'm trying to get all the practice i can get. if i pick far away subjects then it's harder to see if i got the picture right cause there's more flexibility on the focal length. so this was my "are the good details in focus and did i let in enough light" training session.

the camera i'm using is a sony dsc-f707 and it's a 5 megapixel camera. all these pictures have been resized in photoshop and the color balance was altered a bit. it was a really dark cloudy day and it actually started to rain as i left and as far as i know there's no way on the camera to compensate for it not being a bright sunny day. maybe something with white balance would work but even then i'd probably want to bump up the saturation just a bit, which i don't think my camera has controls for. if any of you have some photo tips, i'm just trying to learn to take good pictures. if my framing's off or the subject is bad or something, please let me know so i can improve. the only one of these that was cropped is the last one but i took that picture with the intention of cropping it to what you see.
