Don't have any advice for you, but congratulations, you got a great deal! I was thinking of bidding on that one, $157, a steal.

It comes on a card which would have been in the owners manual. Also you will need to get the alternative face it is not a stock face. If you install the becker you will see that the face is difficult to see in the angel your 944 console sits.

The alternate face is grey with black lettering, the buttons are still orange. $150 from Becker

You can get 'em for $50 through some becker place, 888 423 3537 x1209, supposed to ask for a guy named Burl.

No affiliation etc, just saw it on a board.

Is the grey face labelled "Porsche"? The OEM appearance is one of the great things about the Becker, IMHO.

I have a CDR-220 in my NA 944. There should be some good posts in the archives. There is a guy in NC (Stefan @ SW Stereo?) who was really helpful during my install. It seems like I ordered some sort of wiring harness adapter from him. If you need to do so, I would highly recommend that you order from this fellow. His phone customer service was excellent.

The amber display is not really legible from the usual 944 viewing angle. I would switch to the grey for $50 if it maintained the Porsche appearance. Personally, it would not be worth $150 (you can still use the amber, it's just a little hard to read).

I just installed the CR220 which is tha Cassett version I have the 6 disk matching changer I installed it behind tha passenger seat. Anyway I installed it today. The Amber is not that bad, it is hard to read maybe it is due to the fact I am 5'5. I will stick with the amber.
