No. There are few shift ***** that fit 944s since the shaft isnt threaded or anything and it's far from standard.

The shift **** on the 944 is made of rubber to isolate the vibrations from the drivetrain.

When you change it for one of these metal *****, the shifter tends to make an annoying buzz/rattle from the vibration.

+1. It rattles a lot if you get rid of all of the rubber.

Carl fausett of [928 motorsports] makes an adaptor for the 996 shift ****... and it will easily fit your 944 or a 968.


but, the 997 shift ***** rock...


i have a beautiful 997 turbo **** for sale. i bought two and selected one over the other.


the install of the 997 **** is quite do-able but you'll need to make a custom adapter similar to the 996 adaptor.


the first photo is a 997 style **** but with 996 fittings.... just add one of Carls's adaptors and you're done.


the second photo is the 997 **** i have for sale. the third photo is the 997 **** that i am keeping for my 968.
