Default New Hall sender does not fit

Just received a new hall sender to replace the one that fell apart in my hands (the connector) when I took it off the car. The new one has a wire at least one inch shorter and the shape of the base of the connector makes it so it can not be put back in the support the way the old one was sitting in there. I'm told this is the replacement model and there is no other. Can someone show or explain to me how they installed a new one. This is pretty close to the exhaust and at close to $200 I don't want to change it every year.

Bruno - what is the part number of the one sender you received? And where did you order from?

I ordered it from 944ONLINE.COM and they don't use the Porsche part numbers but what I found is that the previous number was 944-606-170-01 but it has superceeded to the 944-606-170-02. The Bosch part number of the new one is 0 232 101 013 but the one I took off the car has part number 0 232 101 005

I used a nylon cable tie to attach it to the bracket.

I was expecting to have some kind of instruction to get an installation closer to what was done orifinally. It lasted for 21 years, not sure a ty-rap will last for another 21 years.

It just won't fit in the original location. The nylon ties that connect the cables to the firewall have already lasted 20 years (at least on mine), no reason why a new one wouldn't either.
