nice nice nice, no my car is not Zermatt Silver, its just the regular Gray Metallic i think.. much darker and duller.. yours is nice and light silver. Looks much richer, but then again there are a lot of cars on the road that are just 'silver' but Gray cars are far and few between - but for a reason: it looks downright dirty
anyway, looks like you have it all registered and rolling so if we do have this get-together on the 9th (which it doesnt seem we are) you can come, sweet.
very nice and clean 944, hey those are 16" phone dials arent they? i only have 15"

Au contraire, Simon...those are the PO's plates...I have to return them to Boston ASAP! My car will sit, plateless and un-registered in a secret location, until I close on my house at the end of the month. sort of a hibernation! Yup, 16" rims! The fronts can use a refin though...kinda yellowish.
In the mean time, my wife's brother will be stripping the TWO old alarms, cell phone antenna wires, and power amp outta there for me! Wanna start clean.
Also wanna get a stock muffler, to quiet the car down (dont EVER get a Glasspack type unit in your car unless you dont wanna hear yourself think at highway speeds)!
So, wont be able to make the meet. Next one!

AndyK--Congrats man, that's a beautiful car! How much did you pay for it? Glad you got one--I remember exchanging some posts with you when we were both in the search a few weeks ago. Yours is much nicer than mine, which is basic but solid and with more miles. I'm finding that mine is the perfect car--excellent mileage, a blast to drive, saves me time during my 50 mile commute (only 2-3 days a week), and is an absolutely brilliantly engineered vehicle. Love working on it. I've never owned a car that I just want to go for a drive in, like yesterday at sunset along the Great Highway in SF. I hope yours treats you right for a long time!

Thanks BRB-
Paid $7200 for it. It's really clean for it's age. A few rock chips and a scratch on the fender are the only exterior problems. There are a few things that have to be fixed, including a crap muffler that needs replacing ASAP, and I have to take it to a good Porsche mechanic in NJ when I get it registered. Hopefully it needs an alignement and not new control arms, etc!
You are right about WANTING to drive it though! I couldnt wait to get into the car and drive to my mother in law's!?
There is no substitute!

Good luck with your new car...
Make sure that you become a paying Rennlist member and a Porsche Club of America member, too.
Both are the best investments you can make in keeping your car running smoothly...
