Default Racers edge billet hubs on early 944

I need to replace what seems to be a bent hub. Since the price is about the same, im lookin at the racers edge ones over stockers. Says they are made for 86+ and another one for M030.

Which one should I get? Are the hubs where Porsche varies their offset? Luckily I have a set of fuchs for early offset and some cup1's for late offset. So either way I can do it but anyone know what I should expect?

Also, whats the deal wiht drilling out the drivers side one to get the speedo cable through? Hard? Machine shop?

I don't think either will work for you... Your car is pre '86 and it's not an M030...

Fyi, the spindle, not the hub, has the hole for the speedo cable - and the end of the cable is secured to the bearing dust cap.

You would need late offset hubs, spindles, rotors, struts and camber plates.

I'm in middle of converting my '86 to late offset components while keeping an early offset.

How did you bend a hub?

Or, why do you think its bent?

well im glad you asked! Because im second guessing myself as well.

1. Bought the car knowing its been crashed at least twice. Hit curbs, driven by a girl who didnt care.

2. Replaced some stuff up front, bearings, struts, knuckles. Had a rattle noise from right front caliper over bumps. it was like the caliper was losing pressure and not keeping tight on the pads.

3. Noticed the rotor was warped and assumed that warp was pushing the pads out as the wheel rotated. The caliper was rocking back and fourth so bad as I spun the wheel the pins were actually ovalizing the holes in the caliper. SO....

4. Got in on the rennbay GP on wilwood calipers. also bought new zimmerman rotors. Put it all on and it was good.

5. About a month goes by and its the same problem all over again. I noticed that when I bolted on the new rotor I said wow, the hub must be warped cuz it didnt fit completley flush till i bolted it down tight.

6. So im assuming over time the warped hub starts to warp the rotor. cuz now i have the same problem that the pads keep getting loose as i drive. When i press the brake pedal the pedal is low but if i let it up and press it again, its perfect. so im thinking my idea that the warped rotor is pushing the pads out is correct.

7. My other idea is that when i replaced the bearings, maybe i didnt get one of the races pressed in totally square? i duno.

Im totally open to ideas. Something screwy with the master cyl? i duno.
If I do buy a hub, wheres the best place to get one? obv its costly as hell.

I'm about to make a few sets of these newer style adapters (lower pic schematic) that let you keep EARLY control arms and EARLY struts, but install the stronger LATE spindles and hubs. I have been working on the CNC programming on my spare time....Hit me up for details...Chop
