How do I bypass the DME relay?
Ok, before I rent a uhaul trailer, I want to check to see if it's as simple as the DME relay. How do I go about jumpering it? Thanks!

Um, anyone, I don't want to sound impatient, but I need to go get the car this afternoon. I just wanted to avoid renting a trailer if I didn't need it.

From there
__________
Much easier in a temporary situation.
Take out the relay.
Pop the cover off.
Take a piece of paper and wad it up (you'll now hom much by looking at the contacts)
Jam paper in between the two Relay wipers.
The Relay wipers move away from eachother when energized. Mechanically forcing them apart makes the relay always on.
Takes about two minutes, of which the hardest part is getting the relay out.

Thanks alot guys, unfortunately it's not the DME. The engine turns over waaay to fast for normal. I'm almost certain it's a timing issue. Not sure if I'll be able to get it fixed, a bunch of 944S parts may be coming on the market soon. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Don't give up to soon dude.
Getting frustrated to early cost me a car once. THat was just a New Yorker. This is too important to loose by giving up to quickly. Even if it is bent valves.
