Post It's alive!

I just want to thank the guys that came out to the CCR's autoX this weekend. You guys were correct about the belt and valve noise. I was finally able to drive my car tonight! Man, I have really missed it. I do still have an exhaust leak (from the header), so I will address that next. Word of advice ... if you remove the fan assembly for any reason, remember to quick-strap the harness back where it belongs. I forgot to do that and cut up a wire or two. If anyone is interested, try to make it to the Winston Salem autoX next weekend.

Hey Don, I like the website! BTW, you already have the updated exhaust manifolds, so just get them welded. May want to think about header wrap, as well.

Car is a beautiful color, also. I'm jealous.

Don-

FYI, my best time of three runs was a 56:509. Dunlops don't stick worth spit in the rain. Matt's best was a 57:9.

Ditto on header wrap. You can look at my headers f you want to see DEI wrap installed. I welded the cracks up and went back with DEI. Underhood temps dropped a whole bunch even over stock.

Don,

I'm glad to here the 951's back on the road. Will you be driving it to the auto-x in Winston-Salem next weekend?

Bryan

P.S. Your car looks awesome, I love that color combination. (My old 951 looked just like it)

Header wrap does sound like a good idea. I also want to replace my fuel lines with something similar to SFR's kit.

Bryan - I do plan on bringing the 951 to the Winston Salem autocross (it will be the 951's first autox) ... assuming nothing goes wrong before next weekend.

Just finished bolting in the rollbar/camera mount today. I'll be there at the next Winston auto-x. Don't really like those guys but, run when you can. Last time I went, the driver's meeting went over an hour. For an auto-x, a hour+ driver's meeting?? Hope they have their crap together at the next one. Glad to see all you guys, show up at Winston and we'll try to have some better weather.

Dave
