Thanks Rogue, I was trying to illistrate that its all about crank angle, has nothing to do with orientation to "gravity".

The latest generaton of Benz V6 engines are a good study in this. They have tried to offset the negetive harmonics of the typical V6 with a strangely offset set of shared rod journals - giving their V6 the firing order of a straight 6 plus the use of a balance shaft.
