Talking Sopranos Boxter Diss!

Anyone NOT see the Sopranos last night? Sitting at the table, one of the young kids mentions how his motorcycle beat a Porsche. When that annoying guy (forgot his name) said "which Porsche was that?", and the kid said "Boxter", the mob guy laughed, and said the Boxter was a "panty Porsche" for the Hamptons crowd!

Ouch!

A half decent bike could beat any Porsche, up to a point. That wasn't a new season show, was it? Damn.

Heh, heh... was that 'panty' or 'pansy'?

I'd like to see ANY Porsche take on a Honda CBR1100XX-Turbo from ANY speed. I don' t think the Porsche will ever see anything except for taillights unless it can go 210-220mph in top-speed, heh, heh....

actually, it was Ralphie telling the kid (AJ's friend) he used to beat porsches on his Harley back in the "old days". The kid said "you couldn't beat my Dad's Boxster", to which the whole "boxster is a panty car..." followed from Ralphie. Just another inane comment out of Ralphies mouth. I think Tony needs to make him some cement shoes like he did for Big *****. God, thats a great series.

Yes it was the 1st of the new season last nite, btw.

Texhdg - Wife imposed penalty box? You have to do something like your kid's bathroom over like I am now - that's going to buy me Danno's SDS.

Right! Ralphie...I hate his character almost as much as I hated Jackie's brother (forgot his name too)--Tony's fat sister killed him and did Tony a favor...remember?

That show has been off the air too damn long between last season and now!

It's on again tonight.

I think that comment already caused quite a ruckus on the Boxster board.

Hey my little N/A could beat any bike on the road. I would just make a sharp turn at the beginning of the race. Smush the bike I win! Then drive on comfortably at a reasonable speed

Most of what I run into on the road with the 951 are bikes... I haven't seen one I could pull on yet. (Even some guy on a harley chased me from a stoplight.. I wasn't really racing him, but I was on it pretty hard checking out new boost settings.)

after going thru 2 two blown motors, one electrical fire, and much other angst (some of it documented here) the wife forced the sale of the car as a roller after the last blown engine. I am now serving a no-P-car sentence of a yet-to-be-determined period. Originally I thought it would be <12 mo, but things aint looking good. She wants me to spend less time in the garage and at the track, and more with the kids and her. I think the only thing that gets me immediate release is a move back east so she is closer to her family and friends. I'll have to remember to negotiate that in prior to telling her I am ready to move

Think kart racing. You could get the whole family involved in it. Plus, if you blow up a motor, you can have the spare bolted on in less than an hour.

Aside from the coveralls not fitting, you seemed pretty quick at the Kart Zone!
