Technically, you just dissed Porsche for not spelling it right, its Boxster, not Boxter

Ralphie said "A Boxster is a Porsche in panties"
then went on to talk about his old late 70's 930 Turbo...
I always thought Ralphie was a jackass, but now, maybe not so much?

I wonder what he'd say about the 944...
maybe I don't want to hear it...

I'd like to see ANY Porsche take on a Honda CBR1100XX-Turbo from ANY speed. I don' t think the Porsche will ever see anything except for taillights unless it can go 210-220mph in top-speed, heh, heh.... </strong><hr></blockquote>

I saw a video of the Nurnberg Ring..
It was in car/bike viedo of a GT3 vs Yamaha R1.

The GT3 got through the toll gate first the R1 later. From the on bike view the R1 caught up to the GT3 like it was standing still. In the curves the GT3 held it own and even pulled a little, but R1 was the acceleration king.
Point is that you never try to compete with sport bike in a straight line. Can't be done. Simple as power to weight
R1 = 600lbs with rider & 150 hp = 4lbs/hp
GT3 = 2700lbs with driver & 360 hp = 7.5 lbs/hp.

Aside from the coveralls not fitting, you seemed pretty quick at the Kart Zone!</strong><hr></blockquote>

thanks pete <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> I guess two years of race car ownership and one professional driving school paid off for something

I'll be a "car-geek" (wife's term) and bring my supercool, custom made nomex suit next time so I don't look so weird in the under-sized kart suit. I would have felt really bad if it was just my gut that didn't fit in the kart suit, but I couldn't even get that damn thing over my shoulders.
