no problem, seen it posted in my random c/l viewings, and remembered a trans was being sought after. gl getting one and getting your car fixed. i know what its like to not be able to drive them and just stare at it. mines sitting in the drive way itself.

when we cracked open the old tranny we found a puddle of gears in the bottom on the axle. apparently i left all the gears intact and ripped an important gear off the housing completely and the rest just fell into the bucket...
Elliot was amazing, he called me this morning, says "i took today off, lets do this" it took us almost 8 hours (would have been 6, but a single bell housing bolt tore us up for over 2 hours, and then suddenly just popped into place.
Thank you Elliot for all the help, he said when she was done that she ran almost like new, he was very impressed with her.
I'm so frigging happy, i could take tomorrow off. oh wait, i did!

I love happy endings I had the same issue with one bellhousing bolt doing a clutch job. I swear I was tempted to torch the car at the time. Hope you're back on the road soon.

Interesting thread! Wow!........the trans really did turn into a bucket of misc parts! In any case, glad to hear that you figured it all out, and that you are enjoying your car again! Congrats!
