Default Laguna Seca track day, Friday 3/5/10 - Anyone going?

It'll be my first track day in years. Just wondering if anyone else is going?

It was great fun. The car felt great (recently installed Koni Cup kit from Paragon with Toyo R888 tires) - it was utterly planted. About the only downside was my brakes were grumbling by the end of the day... probably didn't bed in the pads correctly.

Nice, I have done Laguna Seca once in my '89 S2 w/ factory Koni sport suspension.

Great photos! Hope you had a great time. I just upgraded Konis this week and am looking forward to my first Laguna Seca day later this year.

Dude that's an awesome pic of your car followed by two others coming down the corkscrew.

Yup. Convertibles were running with their tops down.

Is that not kosher?

The PCA DE's that I have attended have made cars keep roof panels in and all cabs ran with their tops up. Not sure if it is kosher or not, just a different thing than I have experienced out here.

Heck there is some video over in the racing forum where the guys are at speed with no helmets on the track. The claim was that the track preferred they run without helmets!

I have to admit I like that photo very much

Of course the other way to look at it is that I'm their 'mobile chicane'
