Does Bruce Anderson really know anything about 944 values? In the Reader Sales Reports someone lists a 1986 951 with 73K, black/black, perfect interior, and great condition only needing tires and motor mounts. They paid $10,500.00. Bruce states an excellent example should bring $8525 and that the buyer paid too much for this car.
I try to keep an eye on what all 944 models are going for and $10.5K for a clean '86 951 seems to be right in line. $8500 for an excellent car seems low to me. Whaddya think?

Bruce bases his opinons on reader P&S reports, IIRC. So he is just comparing the sale price of that car to the other prices reported.
I hardly ever see 944 P&S reports, so I'm thinking he doesn't have much data to go on.

Obviously low. Perhaps the values are taking another rise, bt it's hard to find a clean low mileage turbo for less than 12-15K

The GT3 is a non-turbo 3.6 motor putting out about 380 hp. The GT2 is a turbo 3.6l with something like 450 hp.

So, no, the GT3 isn't 'better' than the GT2, in terms of hp.

I'd take a GT3 over a GT2. The GT3 doesn't have all the electronic b/s and still does 0-60 in 4.3sec and tops out at 190! Then again, there's also an article on the 612hp Carrera GT and a wicked twin turbo 3.2L 914. Wow!! Pretty good issue.

I may be biased but I'd hope that I could get at least $10,500 if I didn't expect the car to be too liquid.

BTW, now I'm upset that I didn't get mine in the mail today. Although, I still haven't finished the last one.
