Post Cleaning sunroof drain holes

How does one go about cleaning the drain around the sunroof....I need them to be super clean

Trying to figure out this "water in the passenger footwell" problem!

Thanks

I use a length of plastic trimmer "string" from my brush cutter (.095" dia heavy stuff) to poke stuff out of the drain tubes. It's both stiff and flexible... Also works great on the two weep holes on the spoiler (doesn't scratch the window or paint).

Thanks.
Maybe I can use some sort of fish wire (for plumbing type of work)

what about compressed water or air?

I'd be leery of using compressed air... These cars are old... The plastic tubes get brittle - I wouldn't want one to pop if it was clogged. I'd use either the trimmer string or jason952's cable suggestion. I used to use a bicycle brake/shift cable but found the trimmer stuff better. Doesn't scratch things up when it's flopping on the roof.

Don't use aluminum safety wire either. Don't ask me how I know that! :-)

The dreaded footwell flooding problem.... It's most likely not your sunroof. My bet is the battery box. Do a search on the archives. There's been many threads on the problem.

mine actually had to have the sunroof adjusted, but it wasn't hard at all. For details, search the topic of sunroof adjustment. It's easy to do though.
