MARS951,
Don't know if I got a chance to tell you, but that is one beautiful ride you've got there.

Hey everyone,

Had a great time there and it was cool meeting all of you! I actually got to take a little ride with Adrial once most everyone left (unfortunately I was in the back seat but it wasn't that bad). Then we had a revving contest - just like the dudes in the lowered Hondas...

Also got to test just how airtight the cabriolet is when I got hit with a massive rainstorm not even ten minutes after leaving.

The hot dogs were pretty good too. But I still wanna know, just how can some place sell a cheesburger for $1.65? Anyone willing to try one and comment back to me, at least 24 hours later?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I got to look under the hood of the famous 924 twin turbo! It's quite a stealthy ride. Even upon inspection the turbos are very well hidden. Amaf - did you get to collect your $30?

Till next time everyone!

I'm on Long Island. <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" /> <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" /> <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" />

We should do another one at the same location some day, Damian came up with the idea of doing it there so it's only right having one that he can attend.

Ram_One,

Thanks! I'm adding the engine compartment pic you took to my P-CarOnline site.

I looked for nearly six months before finding this car. Persistence and patience pays off. At one point I was just gonna buy the next car I looked at. Work got me sidetracked a bit and when I started looking again, I stumbled accross this car.

I definitely had options in mind that I wanted and would not compromise. This car just had it all! The window sticker and bill-of-sale (not to mention every service record from day one) closed the deal. It's a keeper.

I look forward to the next get together. Maybe a more central location for the LI and CT guys - assuming they'll wake up for it!

Regards,

Mike R.

Very nice.

Of course while you guys were roasting in a parking lot next to the river, getting indigestion some of us were flat to the floor in fourth going up the esses at the Glen.

It was a good meet. I have two problems with it though. The first is that I was the only 911 in attendance, and the second is that Ram one's photo made my girlish figure look larger than life (white t-shirt and sunglasses, dopey "lookit all dem porsches" grin).

Other than that, it was a great meet. Good to. . . meet you all. I'm starting to think that with a little extra cash, I might need a '44. Don't tell the 911 board.

Sounds like you guys had a nice time on Saturday. Too bad people like Al P and myself could not attend due to being at Watkins Glen for DE...
Note to Adrial: CHECK the PCA calendar before making plans dude! If I may speak for Al, we would have loved to join you guys in the parking lot, but we were a little preoccupied bustling around the racetrack!

Al: I heard that the unfortunate mishap in our last run of the day may have occured because someone was chasing you down...

BTW: The Glen is an awesome track: there's another DE this year there in October: the event opened up on 08-12. Sign up: it may not be too late!

I'm afraid that very well may have been the case. I watched him slowly gaining on me for most of the lap. I checked my mirror to give him a pass signal as I came out of 11 and watched the whole thing in my mirror.

"BEWARE THE RED MIST!!!"

Note:

For those that may not know. The "RED MIST" is what occures when you allow your emotions (primarily anger) to take over your thinking process. You stop driving with your head, sort of like "road rage". The results are never pretty.
