I bought two Heim Joints at Jegs for 6 bucks each and plan on making my own. I anticipate total cost to be about $30 bucks. Probably 3 hrs time too.

I agree.
I run a strut brace on my 944 race car. Not sure if it helps, but the towers do flex just from the weight of the car on the wheels. However I don't bother to run one on my street car. I don't drive it hard enough to care.

Thanks!
Sorry about the rear strut comment. I was under the car on the weekend, and went. "Oh ya, no rear struts".
I had read that the fitament of front bars on S's and S2's were not perfect, as there are some minor differences between years/options, and there were several different bars listed to add to the complexity.

I won't have the problem, as even if I don't build my own, by 944 is an 86 N/A. so it looks like there is little to no issues on them.

I'm looking less for handling and more for reinforcement/chassis flex, though improved handling would be a bonus. Less flex equals less fatigue. I looked up several bars that you have mentioned, and there are some nice looking bars out there.
Scott.

Are saying your car is a 86 N/A I had the impression & I don't think I'm the only one that you said the car was a Cab (Convertable)

Yes it makes a difference, but the feel and difference in feel isn't for every street driver.. I have one, and solid mount adjustable camber plates, but I also run with mono ball inserts in place of the rubber bushings up front, coupled to 300lb springs... MOST people say my setup is too harsh or aggressive for the street. But in between rebuilds she is my daily driver for a 75 mile each way commute on mostly highway driving.

That having been said, I have yet to have anyone tell me my car isn't fast enough in the twisties to keep up, nor has anyone other than 1 coworker take me up on my open invite to drive her...

I have heard stories of the Toronto area roads, and you MIGHT regret making your suspension stiff up there...

You can ALWAYS undo it, but if you don't do it, you will probably still ask what if...

That's the same Turbo Cup replica STB that I've got. I think it makes a difference. Just my opinion. IMHO. To be fair.

Yes. It is a cabriolet. 1986 944. Car was purchased new/near new by a conversion company in 1987, and made into a convertable, added a body kit and some other goodies. I'm still trying to deterimine all that the company did to the car.

See. (sorry for the crappy pic from the web listing when I bought the car a few weeks ago)

Ok I agree but how many peoples drive a 86 N/A convertable unless you do specified it's a conversion it will lead peoples to beleive your driving an S2 & that what happen here.
