How much do you think my fuchs are worth?

Three Wheelin'
Type_LT,
A lot of people use vasoline on the painted areas of the black fuchs - it really brings out the black, but has a tendency to fade pretty quickly. This especially works if your black centers are a little faded...
I use normal polish on the lip, then vasoline on the "spokes." Works pretty well.

on my 15" fuchs, i used meguiars cleaner wax on the black part, worked GREAT, the black is now waxed and shiny black. the aluminum i polished with some mothers and it looks awesome (sorry no pics) but take my word for it the result is amazing!

Add me to the "Love the Fuchs" bandwagon. I got those 1986 951 Fuchs too. I dont know, I just think the silver and black rims set the car off, especially since in most cases, the rims are a different color compared to the car. Makes them look like racing wheels compared to normal gunmental or steel colored alloys. When I shopped for my 951 I only looked at those w/Fuchs. Take care of them b/c they will take care of you. Its not like you find them on a variety of cars and they are highly sought after. I need to repaint/repolish mine or something.

I have two questions:
One: How do you pronounce Fuchs? It looks kinda funny and I'm not familiar with German phoenetics.
Two: Were Fuchs an option on the '83 N/A cars? Because my '83 has them and I never really thought much about it untill I read this post. Although I wouldn't be suprised if the P/O put them on there as he did some other cosmetic modifications to the car.

Race Car
They were available as an option on all 944's until the offset changed in '86-'87, but I think the earlier cars could only get the 15" from the factory. Dealer installed options might have included 16" Fuchs. If the wheels are factory your option codes one for "forged alloy wheels" (or something like that) as the cookie cutters that were standard at the time are cast.

There was recently a thread on this somewhere, maybe in the General forum, but it's more like "*****" than "f*cks," it kinda rhymes with "looks." Also, the ch should be that hawking-a-loogie type sound German is known for, although subtle. But a k sound is also acceptable. In German it means fox.
