Post $4 for an oil filter?! But that makes sense!

I just went to my local dealer (the new Mini/Porsche/BMW three-story one-stop-shop building in Boston) to get a filter. Guy came out with an old grungy box, got annoyed when I wanted to see it, and got more annoyed when I didn't end up purchasing the $10 filter that didn't say Mahle OC-142, Mann, Mahle, Made in Germany, nothing...it had grit on it, too.

I bought four at Paragon @ $4 a pop.

I did the same, but the boxes they came in were non-robust. I took the filters out and put them in zip-loc bags and then back in the box and taped them up. I also don't want to put something in my car (oil related) that has been getting dusty on the shelf! (I wood work too so the dusty part is garenteed!
