Default 86 944 n/a will not start with key

have changed out starter/sol, ignition switch and relays, turn key on and will start with a starter button, key does not engage starter, where else to look

Bad switch or bad connection between switch and starter.

does wire go from ignition switch straight to starter,or does it go to fuse box then to starter , two relays say ignition on the cover?

To help identify what part of the circuit it is I would disconnect the white 2 pin connector around the brake booster and have somone hit the key while you check for voltage, one goes to the alt, the other goes to the starter solenoid. Then you would know if its the starter or the wiring.
