Post Need an engine rebuilt in PA

My 87 944 has a rod bearing knocking. Any suggestions on an honest mechanic to do a rebuild. I may send it to Huntley, but was hoping to find someone closer.

You could call John Anderson @ Anderson Motorworks, I waiting on a shortblock now. It isn't worth shipping a core engine out there, just buy a new one.

Not sure if they do rebuilds or not. They work on mostly European cars.

If it were me, I would get an engine from John Anderson like Dave mentioned.
