Was driving past Western this afternoon when a dark blue 993 Carrera was coming down the hill. To my amazement, I received a honk and a wave. I'm kinda surprised as my '44 isn't the most beautiful example on the road ( <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> it's making progress though). Maybe all 911 guys aren't stuck up after all.

Nope, they aren't!
Shortly after I had moved out to California with my 944, I was driving down Pacific Coast Highway, and I saw a silver 911, and decided to follow it a little bit. There was a strangely familiar bald white guy driving it, and it turned out to be Telly Sivalis (Pardon Typo), and he waved at me, when I passed him. Shame I heard he passed away.
And I have another one for you, but odder than that. I was stuck in traffic, going East (ah, forgot the name of the street, North of Wishire), getting ready to take the shortcut up Coldwater Canyon to the valley, and I was stuck in traffic, next to a big ol' Army Green hummer, with a guy smoking a stogie, in a hawaiin shirt. I told him, "Nice Shirt!" He smiled at me, and said, "Nice Porsche!", but you have to imagine it coming from Arnold Swartznegger, 'cuz it was! He was very polite, and we talked for a few minutes about our cars and such, then traffic broke up.
So, I have found people in general will be nice and wave, even if they are famous - people are people, for good or ill.

I got three waves in the last three days.....
Weird thing is that they were all from VW's. One older Jetta, a VR6 and a Golf. I waved back just cause they seemed like "german car guys".
