Don't know what the value of electryos is, but I got a replacement CC brain from eBay for 10 bucks, and it seems to have solved the same problem that you are having. I had the same issue, got the brain and it seemed to have fixed the problem.

I replaced the caps and got them cheap at a local electronics store. I would also recommend checking grounds. Part of the problem on my (85-1) car was the poor ground to the brain. I'm not sure where to trace it in the later cars...

The brain is not the only cause of the constant acceleration. You need to either clean or replace the servo unit in the engine bay. The unit is by the passenger side strut mount. There are contacts inside that can be cleaned and will then work properly.

Thanks everyone. I have the ground location schematic so have an idea where to look but if someone has done this before let me know which ground would be involved with the Cruise Control ground path. Thanks

Clean them all is best. It may just make many things work better.

Thanks everyone for the ideas and help. jcslocum: you are most likely right. Remaking all the grounds is the thing to do.

Cheers

I was having problems with my cruise control. I spent 2 hours resoldering everything, and it didn't fix it. I took apart the servo and that didn't fix it. I spent $10 on a new brain, and that fixed it.

It's always the last place you look, but a $10 potential fix is worth trying!
