Water in the Combustion Chamber: No Problem, RL944 Save!
Driving through a deep *** puddle, my 44 bogged down and out as I pulled into the parking lot of my local market in the desert Thursday night. When I came out of the market and tried to start the car, it was clear water was sucked into my stock air box and into the combustion chamber and the car would not start. A call to AAA yielded a 12.75hr wait-time for a tow (remote area). Next, a text/call to Chris (Genikz) yielded the following advice: Remove all of your spark plugs and crank the motor to push water out of the combustion chambers. In the dark, driving rain and in about 20 minutes of pulling out/putting in dry spark plugs, the car started immediately.
Make sure you have a spark plug wrench and a flash light if you are driving in low lying areas in a torrential rain and have a smart, good friend like Chris with some friendly, spot on advice.
Thanks Chris. Thanks Rennlist.

good thing you
a) did not try too hard to get it going with water in the cylinders
b) got good advice and got that H20 out ASAP !
Another reason why membership is cheap !

Seemed like it was 6-8inches deep. I wasn't expecting it and went through it at about 15mph.
