Post 951 & 968 gearbox

This issue has been on a list several times.
Many of you have found out difficulties with unworking speedo with 968 transmission on 951.

Any of you know how does 968 CS speedo work?? CS does not have ABS brakes, so it must be something different comparing to regular 968.

Well If I had known in 8th grade that I would own a Porsche I would have not stoped my education in the german language. Instead I took spanish, geez what spanish car am I going to buy?

Anyway, who needs a speedo anyway, just know at what speeds you are going at what RPM and remember them. Then when you get pulled over and the officer ask how fast you were going you can honestly say that you were not sure.....

My dream 951 has a huge tack right in the middle of the cluster, and then the nessasary gauges surrounding it.

OK, thanks for the info Konstantin. It was like i thought in the first place. One fellow offered me a 968 CS transmission and he claimed it was taken out from a wrecked CS without ABS.
BTW Konstantin do you know any CS for sale in Germany ? There are several at mobile.de.
Iam looking for a black or maritim blau with Recaro seats and without "luxury packet".
