How Much You Pay for Re-Paint?

If you do the prep work yourself you can save ALOT of money.
For a perfect prof. quality time consuming job I was quoted around 6 grand.
Im instead getting damage repaired in the rear and damage in the front repaired, all dings taken care of and the whole front redone & blended into the doors for under 4,000.
Adding an AIR front splitter and a Lindsey Racing Headlight Duct while Im in there.
So the only original paint will be top, left rear quarter and rear (which the rear and LR panel are still amazingly bright and awesome looking from the factory.)
It should be a nice 10ft car.

guess the rattle cans Shaun used were on sale... hmm, what about the cost of sandpaper, the TON of BONDO and the tape for masking stuff off. What about the cost of sanding and buffing... compound, etc... SO, SHAUNS $16.95 is BS.
Get a book about paint work. Do as much prep as you can and have a pro do the finish work. With luck, you may come in about $1,200 depending on your needs. My red 85, was done for $1,400 and was an experience i'd not like to have again.
A lot of folks overlook the details. Things like the plastic gaskets around the mirrors, the sunroof seals and the pain and struggle of removing the stone guards. The large decal on the rear along with the 944 script and the front badge are also items that tend to be overlooked.
