Buying the "tool", seen a good price?
Ok I've got 2 of these lovely cars, and seems like as soon as I finish belts on one, the other gets jealous and wants new ones too. I've seen the 9201 at Vertex for $375 plus the calibration bar and the spacer for the eccentric rollers, for a total of $430 or so. Anyone seen a lower price? I borrowed one from a friend who owns a German repair shop, but I think a couple of long weekends using his shop has worn out my welcome! Time to get my own, and I'll make it available to all who want to come to eastern NC to use it.

Vertex in Miami. Be carefull they have been known to supply substandard parts. My friend Matt recieved a cracked distrib cap and they gave him crap to change it. And a while ago I got a warped pressure plate. Sent it back and it took them about three weeks to send a new one. Just a little heads up. The guys on the phone are pretty cool but I guess they are a little slow to respond to returns.

Yes the tool club is a great program, but it would be much easier to have one around with 2 of these cars, and you never know, I might buy a third. Of course, according to my wife, methodical beatings would soon begin if another showed up. <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
