Post Can't get rotor off!

I've tried to remove the rotor but it seems stuck on, I've tried to pry it off using the metal part rather than the ceramic portion since it would obviously crack off. I've loosened the allen head bolt quite a bit, it there something I'm missing? Any tips on how to get it off without destroying it?

haha - nice one, Tim.

If you are trying to remove it with the metal shaft still attached, remove the 8mm bolt and use channel lock pliers on the plastic shaft, behind the rotor arm (so there is less chance of breaking it). Twist and pull.

If you are trying to remove the plastic from the metal shaft, remove the tiny allen bolt, and use the channel locks in the same fashion. HOWEVER - the rotor may still break, as they were glued on the shaft from the factory.

BE sure to use blue locktite on the bolts when replacing them.

Thanks for the advice, I gave up for tonight I'm think of just getting a new cap and rotor so I don't have to worry about breaking something. I undergoing my waterpump/tbelt/balance/rollers, etc change for the first time. So far it's gone good. It looks like I should remove the cooling fans? It looks a bit cramped in there with the cooling fans in place. Naturally I want to change my starter and slave cylinder since they look crusty... Every time I dip deeper into my car I always find too many things I want to replace
