Your stock air flow meter is going to muffle most of the intake noise. If you want some real powerful sound (and 10-15 HP, too) you may want to look into getting a MAF kit or danno's MAP kit when/if he releases it for S2's as these open the pipe all the way from the cylinders to the air filter (the stock AFM/barn door sits in the middle of the pipe, creating an audio barrier as well as a flow/HP barrier). I am getting the MAP kit for my 951 mainly for HP and additional tunability but also for the cool noises and the fact that I can run a loud BOV too.
MAF kits:

I know that huntley makes a kit for the S2, not sure about the rest though. Guru racing is danno's company from this list. I'm not sure if he's doing it for the S2, but it is the newest/best/most tunable of all of the kits AFAIK for the turbos.

968 uses MAF from the factory.I don't think it is much louder than S2 with AFM.
It's mainly the turbo which makes all of those nice sounds with MAF/MAP systems.
