So my car has been sitting in the driveway since it came back from my last DE in September (no room in the garage
)
I went out today to start it up...which not surprisingly required a jump-start...afterwhich it ran perfectly.
However I notice that the rubber ring around the trunk lock is gone.
Since I am assuming it requires some effort to remove, the only thing I can think is that while I was not home at some point, someone tried to open the trunk. Either that or the thing just fell out and the landscaper blew it away with the leaves....there is no damage around the lock so I guess it's possible it fell out.
Either way.....anyone have one spare or know where I can buy one ?

Mine had cracked and deteriorated, basically fell out on its own with a little help. Found a cheap replacement on ebay, spray some WD40 or dish soap on it to make it easy to install.

You can loosen (but not remove) the nuts which hold the lock cylinder in place to give a little extra clearance between the cylinder and the body panel. Then just tighten them back up. Worked for me.
