2 bar of boost?

I am looking at a 951 with the Lindsey boost enhancer and shimmed wastegate among some other mods. The guy says he runs about 2 bar of boost, he thinks that's about the limit his setup will take. 2 bar seems awfully high, does he have a bad boost gauge, or could he really run that much boost?

There IS a guy running very close to 30 psi (28) and he's doing 450 at the wheels.
so yea, you're doing around 15. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
These cars, if set up correctly, can handle A LOT of boost.

Yeah it's not uncommon to see 951 cars running around the 20 psi range or more without a whole lot of modification. But yeah the "boost" guage int he 951 cluster is actually a pressure guage, 1 bar for normal atmosphere and 1 bar for boost. These cars run like 12 psi stock right? So with light mods 15 sounds like what it would be.

Yeah, I'm sure you are running 2 bar above absolute vacuum.
While this really doesn't matter much at such low pressures, a Bar is only 14.5 psi (and very small change) rather than an atmosphere at 14.7 psi.
Then you have pressure changes due to elevation and whatever weather you have moving through so don't go trying to recalibrate the gauge unless you know what actual pressure really is.
