Ok, how do I keep the brushes on the adjustable regulator pushed into their slots so I can slip them onto the commutator rings ? Probably should take the alternator out of the car but it semed so easy to do the swap.

Never mind !! Pulled the alternator and it took about 30 seconds to install the adjustable regulator.
A nice 14.2 volts with the engine running, sweet.....

how easy is it to pull the alternator? can you get at it fromm the bottom easily? i got more than i had expected done on saturday...i actually completed the car and was looking for a project to do sunday. i was eyeing up my lightshark kit and thumbing through the instructions i decided driving the car around would be more constructive than pulling all the plumbing back off again. theres always next weekend.
