Hi,
I just got my 944 back from Black Forest (San Diego) today. Does the car feel different when the belts are all changed and a new water pump...it seems like the car runs a little different. Not necessarily bad but different with a little more vibrations.

Are the vibrations mostly about 3500-4000 rpm ? Nice buzz in the shift **** ? If so, they may have the balance shafts off.

I'd take it back Monday if you can and let them check out all of the work. There should be no new vibrations if the job is done correctly.

Strange, but the vibrations went away after coming home....runs pretty smooth now. Today is the first time since I bought the car three months ago that I truly enjoyed it.

I had vibration at 4k, it went away with the clutch in, and my mech said it was shifter buzz and goes away when the belts are re-tensioned. It did. That made me notice vibration around 3K and read clarks garage that is the rubber cluch centre going away and yes I now have tons of lash on the driveline so it probably is the clutch.
