And first and third, fourth and fifth gears that is.

The hole in the gear shaft rod has become oval shaped. The shift lever its self is fairly new and its pin is still round.

Has anyone found a fix for this oval hole problem? Is there a way to bush the hole or should I replace the gear shaft rod?

Another project!

Thanks, Steve Frew.

Try FR Wilk's method with a new brass sleeve over the shift rod. Go to his site http://frwilk.com/early944/ and click on shifter repair.
