The tire and wheel combo with the 21/28mm spacers fill the wheel wells very nicely - both front and rear. I don't think you could go much further without experiencing a rub condition. The larger 28mm rear spacer also corrects the "rear inset" issue with the factory setup (rear wheel is ever so slightly inset from the front). With this setup I did NOT need to roll the fender lips.

Danno has some GREAT info on his web site and I consider him an expert on this modification. In other words, I did it (well the shop did the work), but I used all of Danno's recommendations for a perfect fit.

Yeah, I know about his site, it's awesome! I've read over it a couple of times but then when I read about the difference in spacer size between front and rear I got some doubts that are clear now.
BTW, your car looks great!

One note. As I understand it, the front spacer needs to have a small bevel ground on the inside to clear a cap (I think it's the dust cap) on the hub. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of if your doing the job at home.
Thanks for the compliments on the car - always nice when someone notices!

Was going to do the spacer thing myself, but I also needed to do a balljoint up front and I found a great deal on moving up to the 87+ suspension parts and did that. My car had the late offset wheels on an early offset car (wheels are FRH Turbo Twists in 9.5" wide 17" at the rear) and would rub the inner fender wells when in a turn and in a compression situation (love those little hills around here!). I have a set of the 477 501 701 spacers that I had already bought off of Ebay that I no longer need....if you want to go spacers drop me a PM..... They are nice, but now my wheels fill out well and I don't need them with the late offset suspension under the car....and I do plan on taking it to some DE's when I can.
Cheers!
