Default Camshaft woodruff key needed

As the title states, I need the woodruff key that goes at the front of the camshaft. If anyone has one of these laying around and could drop it in the mail to me I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd be happy to pay postage and throw in a few bucks for the key.

PM for my address. Thanks in advance.

I got mine from my "local" dealer. I called them up with the part needed, and they shipped it off to me for like $4.

My local True Value hardware store did have rounded keys that looked like they would work in their hardware drawer section. I did not need one at the time so I do not know for sure if they had one in exactly the correct size.

Yeah, I called my dealer and they couldn't get one. That link at 944online says Porsche is not making/selling them anymore which is pretty much what the dealer said as well. Just thought for such a small item I'd see if someone here could drop one in the mail. I'll probably just order one or two of them from 944online (thanks Brian).

Oh, and I'm not sure I have a True Value or Ace around here... everything's been run outta town by the the big box stores. I miss the smaller, true hardware places.

I would look into getting an offset key from these guys:

928 Motorsports

Not that expensive, and useful to shift your powerband around.

keep in mind that offset keys are not allowed in 944 spec.

Thanks for posting that Rogue, new one on me. I wonder how strong the offset keys are, looks like about a 33% reduction in the sheer area.

It not hard to make your own key, you can buy the key stock by the foot, cut off a piece to length and grind it to fit. Its not worth it for one key but if you have a speed boat and twin teenage boys, it is a good investment

Domestic guys have been running offset keys forever. I would not worry about their sheer strength.
