Thumbs up

I agree, my friend has this bar that I installed on his car and it was just a perfect fit. Actually, Mr. Redlineman was at the track just beside us, so it had to fit!

What impressed me most, after the fit and finish, was the rear view: you just can't see it.

Brian, thanks for the link on the collars. I bought 4 of them.

regret it - tell me about it. had two pre owned ones go through my fingers, then bought a new one.

sold the 951S with it in, and a week later it is up for sale. i dont know what the buyer was thinking.

A: I forgot to mention the rear view. The design of the bar just keeps impressing me more and more. The shoulder harnesses are at a perfect height, they straddle a vertical bar, and the center is wide open (invisible in the rear view mirror.

B: What size collars would I want to pick up? They look cool too.

John does really nice work. He also does fantastic graphics work. I will be having him do my helmet this spring.

On Johns rollbar, the belts strap to a 1 1/2 inch bar. Tuner Motorsports has the 1 1/2 collars for about $20 each (they sell them in pairs)
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html..._ID=TIN9903150

And if you want different materials, select form McMaster
http://www.mcmaster.com/#clamp-on-collars/=558zqo

Select :
Two-piece clamp on
Bore Size = 1 1/2 inch OD
Width = 9/16
Should show six different materials

Good idea with those shaft collars. I used the same on my front swaybar to stop it from sliding on the delrin bushings.

I got this little tip on Rennlist some time when Hans devices were becoming more affordable. The FIA guide recommends that the shoulder belts angle towards each other at the attachment point to horizontal bar. This helps keep the belts on the shoulders and the Hans device. The problem I was having was how do you keep the belts from sliding outward. The collars were recommended for this problem and they do indeed lock the belts into place.

Being a cheap b@stard, I just order eight of these beauties for a total of $15.00

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...fm?pcatid=9227

The only question is whether I can spread them open enough to go around the bar without snapping them. (Maybe I should have ordered 9?). I'm also not excited about all the veterinarian supply spam that I'm going to get as a result of the order.

Quick Reply: Got / installed my Redline (Hanjy) bar! Sorry no pics.
