Sunroof lift change to newer style.
Has anyone changed the sunroof lift with the solid tubes to the newer style with the cable? I have a 1986 951, the lift mechanism is chewing up the guides, and the left side of the lift has a broken pin, the previous owner put a screw where the pin should be. The right side of the lift mechanism is twisted. I have access to a cable style lift. Is this a straightforward change? THANKS!!!
