I ordered two sets and fully expected the lower price based on the interest level on the forum. I also don't need them right now. I hope Lindsey keeps up the good offers to us.

I've made two attempts to sign on for the group buy. I have a '87 924S and ask which set of hoses will fit. Is it the later 944 or early? a 924S has qualities from both era's. I was and am still commited to this buy. I have not had feedback to my (above stated) questions that were made before the deadline. I hope I've made the cut. I followed the basic instructions in the link at Lindsey Racing and was told I needed to register to post questions. I did not register, but as I closed my browser( Iwas leaving work and did not have time to register) I got a message that my question had been submitted. I followed up with a PM to Mike and still have not had a reply. So, I hope I'm still in. It's really nice for Mike to offer this buy to our Rennlist community.

comatb. I like the avatar. Coming around the tree at VIR is a fond memory of the full corse and I have pics of some really cool cars just like yours in the same spot.

I expressed interest, but couldn't get in on the group buy for a couple reasons, largely personal. My apologies to anyone who feels let down by that. I still want to get the silicone hose set, and I expect to place an order for a set in the next couple months (along with some other stuff I'm hoping to get for my car this spring). Speaking of which, does anyone know what the appropriate kit to get for a 924S would be? Mine's an 87

Lastly, I'm really excited to see more products being developed for the N/A cars, particularly by a high quality company like Lindsey Racing - I have a few other parts from them on my car, and I've been very happy with their products so far.

Sorry Mike but I was expecting a price of $140 when I saw the posted price of $175 in post#45... I bailed. I'm not trying to insult you but honestly from my point of view I couldn't help but feel that the old bait and switch was on.

Mark Luke. We don't do bait and switch. The price on the kits was 150 dollars if anybody purchased them. That's $10 from your goal. Because of the price coming in higher then we expected, reasons
explained, we lowered the group price to $135 if 11 people came on board. Based on the number of people saying
they would get on board, that shouldn't of been a problem. The 951 group went the same way. Less then 1/2 actually stepped up to the pump when it came time to open the wallett. The $135 price was lower then your target. I think you will find in our original post in this thread that the price of 125-140 was hopeful, but not to hold us to it. We made that statement because we didn't know the costs yet. We would eventually build the hoses whether or not the group came together but felt a number of people wanting them up front gives us and the manufacturer some
incentive to get the ball rolling. We do very few group buys, and this one is one of the reasons why. They turn into a PITA Doing a group buy on a product you cannot buy anywhere else seems a bad decisions on our part anyway. No harm... No Foul.

Man, I felt so exposed putting in my info - very few places on the internet get my credit card number

I think part of it was because it was such a limited time. If I hadn't subscribed to the thread and asked for an email alert and checked my email that morning, I would have missed it, too...

Mike and Lindsey Racing have been terrific in helping me with my engine build, i have no complaints and would not hesitate to do business with them. Mike even did an exchange for me and sent out the new parts before I sent the return back to him! Great service.

Sorry I missed it Mike. I will still get these hoses as time goes on. Lots of bad timing here and I regret that Lindsey Racing feels a bit burned. Keep up the good work Mike and keep us posted as to the development of this and other products regardless of the clown show in this thread (of which I participated).

Whalebird, doing some research on the 924S, although it's a 944 engine, the cooling hoses
are different then the 944. One in particular, and two others that look about the same, but
carry a number just for the 924S. Not sure just how fast we will have that model covered.

Thanks Mike. That confirms my gut-feeling as I have not had the opportunity to dig into it myself. I knew there were differances and this is helpful to all 924S owners here. Keep us posted.

The samples of the 944 8v hoses required to make the 3 different 944 kits combined with
the 951 hoses already done are here. They look great, and we are in production on the kits.
Estimated 2-3 weeks on availability. This also completes the 944 Turbo dry turbo radiator
hose kit.

We will look at it. Some hoses are same as 944/951 hoses.
